Baikampady is an industrial locality north of Mangalore city and 6 kms away from
Surathkal. Mainly known for its industrial estate which has several small scale industries mostly serving the New Mangalore Port Trust, the Mangalore Fertilizers and the Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals Ltd., all of which are in close proximity. There are also quite a few food processing industries over here that serve the entire Dakshina Kannada and nearby towns too. There are a few restaurants near Baikampady.
